Scrubber spans ±5,000 yr from today. Near the center, one tick advances by minutes; near the edges, by years — drag far for centuries, near center for hours. Meeus low-precision math is accurate to ±0.3° and ±1 yr within ±2,000 yr of today; beyond that range the scrubber is a navigation widget — historical anchors (Newgrange, Callanish) are pinned from archaeological literature, not derived from the model.
